Just realized I've never posted this cover publicly. I did this over the summer for BOOM Studios' Freelancers comic book. I think I never posted it because there was a lot of back and forth over the colors for the cover and I was never fully happy with the final result. Hey, it happens sometimes. Anyways, I had fun drawing this cover because editor Chris Rosa suggested we do an EPMD homage cover and it just so happens EPMD is one of my favorite rap groups of all time. I even gave one of the girls a fisherman hat.

Side note: This is also one of the only times I've gone 100% digital on a cover. I drew this cover in Photoshop and inked it in Manga Studio.

The inking tools in Manga Studio are much better than the inking tools in Photoshop.

The brushes are just better. Also, drawing in Photoshop tends to give your line a shaky quality. The tools in MS self correct a little to make the lines smoother.
